SO the SUO challenge blog is calling for FLOWERS today, did they make it easy on me or what??  this was a fun card to make, I had not worked with this set much yet at all, Happy Watercolor…..these flowers do kinda make me HAPPY!! ;) I never used to like the color coral, but I have been drawn to it lately.  I used my marker layering technique to color this…..I used Calypso Coral, and I shaded it with Raspberry Ripple.  I also outlined it with Soft Sky, and the leaves I used Old Olive.  So I'm thinking lots of people will play along with FLOWERS as the featured stamping!! Have fun!! Go stamp some flowers…..we need MORE flowers……never enough FLOWERS……until next time, Karen

SO the color challenge this week was So Saffron, Pool Party, and Sahara Sand.  The SUO Challenge Blog challenge was EASTER.  Now doesn't that just go hand in hand?  Actually, dessert on the color challenge is ALSO Easter…..so I HAD to make an Easter card! Now, what does this card have to do with the TRUE meaning of Easter??? Not a lot,,,,,but Easter eggs are part of our celebrations, and I had fun thinking outside the box when I made this card.  After all, I have used those tulips that were intended for Easter SO MANY TIMES I thought, I HAVE to come up with something DIFFERENT… and I was just in the mood for some egg salad. :) I used the top note die cut for the bottom of my basket, and folded it in half.  I used the egg from Backyard Basics…. this was FUN!  And look ma, NO FLOWERS!!! Look Peggy, NO FLOWERS!!! :) (My SCS buddy Peggy teases me about flowers being the only thing I stamp!)  NOT ONE FLOWER on this card! I love Easter, and God has been doing some amazing things in the lives of my loved ones lately…..so I am really looking forward to celebrating new life in JESUS at Easter this year! :) He is RISEN!! He is RISEN indeed - and HE is alive and well, and still changing lives today!! Happy Easter everyone!! Until next time, Karen
