BEARS REPEATING…...

SO the color challenge this week over on SCS is Real Red, Marina Mist, and Night of Navy.  Dessert is candy dots.  The Challenge on SUO Challenge Blog is a card that has something other than a straight edge.  So I made these little bears hold signs and I cut out around them to create the unique edge.  These kind of colors really get me outside the "flower box" - Given these three colors I really had to think of something besides flowers!  I had fun creating this one.  Left to myself, I would never stamp anything BUT flowers….so I am always happy when I make a card with none.  Last time I was challenged with the patriotic card too….stars and stripes - so two times in a row that I didn't use flowers, and last week's color challenge I didn't either.  WOW!  Lots of chances to be different.  This card where I generated the words "Bears Repeating" came from an idea I had years ago when I made my very first convention swap card.  I used Button Bear, and I stamped him twice and put him in a frame and colored him all cute and then I had wrote around the images of the bears, "Bears Repeating, Bears Repeating, Bears Repeating and then on the inside the card said, "I love you."  It was so cute.  All those years ago…..must have been around 1997 or 1998 I think…..I have been stamping for a long long time!!  I have to say that if the comments that get left on my blog are any indication of how many enjoy it, I should just stop blogging.  Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads it at all, - if you are still with me and reading this could you let me know?  Should I keep on blogging??  Until next time, Karen

I'm here! I'm here! No! No! Don't ever quit blogging --- I adore your work! So sorry that I've failed to acknowledge it like I should have. Though I'm not subscribed to your blog, I do come and check it out to see anything new. You are just a click away, right at the top of my screen. :)

For the record--I read your blogs all the time. I appreciate your thoughts and insights. Mostly though, I just look at the cards. I love your cards. I first look at the SUO challenge blog without reading the names and try to pick out which one is yours and I'm correct almost every time because your card is always one of my top favorites. I look at many stamper blogs--but history has just been made. This is the first time I ever left a comment.

Very cute card! In fact, I think I'm going to have to CASE it for a birthday I have coming up. I have this stamp set but have not used it yet but I just loved it!! Yippee, now I'm going to break it out! You have also given me an idea to use this set for a party invitation.
I don't know about anybody else when it comes to leaving comments, but I don't always leave one. I know, shame on me. There are several reason for this. One is the time. I follow a lot of Blogs & if I took the time to comment on each one, I'd never get through them all. Two is that I don't think it's right to comment on something that didn't appeal to me. It doesn't mean that what they did is bad, just not my cup of tea. So I'm not going to write a phoney comment just for the sake of leaving a comment. Three is that I have been at this for quite awhile (speaking of stamping & cards) so some cards I see posted are just too beginner-ish. So when I see the thumbnail pic in my reader, I already know it's something I'm not interested in & I move on to the next. And four is that I probably blame Pinterest. If I see something I like, I pin it & move on. (quicker to pin than to comment) Sometimes I do come back to a post, via Pinterest, and leave a comment then but not usually.
So, having said all that, I hope you do continue to blog. I have been following you for quite awhile because I do like what you create. I have gotten many ideas from you.

I am reading your blog! I remember Button Bear, too! (Still have him in fact.) Love your "bears repeating" sentiment. I am only now catching up on blogs due to hectic pace of the end of the school year. Now that I am enjoying the summer, I'll be catching up on card making and blogs. Love all your cards whether they have flowers on them or not! :)

Mayer a lot of people look at blogs in a reader like bloglovin( like myself) in which there is not a place for comments unless you go to your original post. Possible reason not seeing many comments.

Oh Karen, don't stop blogging! Even though I'm guilty of not leaving comments, I want you to know I think your card creations are beautiful and I read all of your posts. I especially like your posts where you share your faith, which is why I subscribed in the first place. Don't be discouraged---you are touching more people than you know! Keep on going! (Apologies for commenting as "Anonymous," but I don't know how to comment using Google account, open ID or Name/URL. :(

YES! Please keep on posting! I enjoy seeing your cards. I am one who apologizes for not posting consistently.
This is such a cute card!Did you use the Triple Banner Punch for the sentiment? One of the ways you let your light shine is by sharing your cards. Keep shining! :) Have a blessed day!

You should absolutely keep on blogging. I love getting your emails, seeing your creations and hearing some of what's going on in your life. I really like this card with the cute bears, so though you love flowery cards you're great with cute, too! But most of all I love to hear how your faith shines through on your blog. You are encouraging. Thanks!
